TAC Recycles

TAC Mobility takes great pride in maintaining our environment. Just over 140,000 tons of computer equipment, phones, televisions and other e-waste (electronic waste) end up in Canadian landfills each year.  This is a serious problem because this E-waste often contains toxic materials like lead, mercury, cadmium, and more.  The number of cell phones that need to be recycled every year is growing incredibly fast. Cell phone batteries, circuit boards,  LCD's and plastics can all be recycled.

Our staff invite all clients to return and recycle old cellular phones, accessories and batteries to our stores.  We have partnered with TELUS who is a member of Recycle My Cell (for more info on this program visit: http://www.recyclemycell.ca). This ensures that all provincial and governmental regulations and procedures are followed for collecting and disposing of cell phones in a responsible and environmentally friendly way. This partnership extends to Tree Canada which means that TELUS will plant a tree for every cellular phone collected.

Recycling supports Community initiatives  – many wireless devices that are in relatively good shape (from recycling returns) are tuned by our TAC Mobility Technicians and offered to homes for battered woman and children for emergency calling.

Our TAC Mobility branded accessories are packaged in only recyclable materials and we recycle much of the paper we use in our business, rather than throwing it in the garbage.

TAC Mobility will continue to look for ways to support our environment whereever we can.

Thank you.
